Aislin’s Story: The Bloodbath Trials is a brutally tough little horror FPS where you attempt to escape from a freaky zombie-filled morgue.
A spin-off for the upcoming Aislin’s Story, Aislin’s Story: The Bloodbath Trials is a short and intense horror FPS that draws inspiration from Resident Evil 7’s Ethan Must Die mode. In the game you are armed with a handgun and worryingly few bullets. In fact bullets are so scarce that if you don’t headshot the majority of the zombies then you’re pretty much screwed.
Getting headshots on the zombies isn’t that easy either – they’re fast and have good hearing. You can sneak up behind a few and take them out, but more often than not, it’ll just allert more nearby zombies who will come running.
Aislin’s Story: The Bloodbath Trials is very challenging, but it is possible once you figure out the best route and which zombies to leave well alone. The fact that you can’t skip the weapon and health info screen at the start of each run is a little irritating, but on the whole it’s a great little game. The audio and visual design is excellent, with you getting a real feeling of terror as a zombie charges at you and a real feeling of satisfaction when you headshot them and they make a final yelp then flop to the floor. See if you can escape this monster-filled morgue!
