Temple Boy – Browser Game

Temple Boy Game

Temple Boy is a simple, but super fun little Mario Maker-esque Platformer, in which you can easily build, play and share levels for your charming little Temple Boy to tackle!

Temple Boy is essentially an 8-bit Gameboy-styled Mario Maker de-make, but with a quirky little character with a magical hat full of tricks. The character animation is adorable (particularly when crawling) and there’s a surprising variety of dungeons you can create with your fairly limited selection of building blocks. There’s no real tutorial for the level editing mode, but it doesn’t take too long to get to grips with and you can soon whip up your own series of deadly dungeons in no time.

Once created, you can upload your level and see how others fare on it, and there’s nice selection of user created content to tackle too that offer up plenty of inventive level layouts. It’s a great little game that offers a simple, cheerful and charming browser based mini-Mario Maker well worth checking out.

Controls: Arrow Keys – Movement, Down+Up – Jump Down Through a Thin Platform, X – Interact,

Available On: All Browsers

Note: There’s no tutorial for Edit Mode. But you simply press ‘Z’ then ‘Return’ to bring up the menu of building blocks then press ‘X’ to place them. To make dungeons with multiple rooms, just hollow out a wall or ceiling and get your little Temple Boy to walk through to a new area.
