A Bewitching Revolution is a stylish low poly cyberpunk adventure where you use your communist witchy powers to start a revolution in a dystopian capitalist state.
Drawing inspiration from the works of Silvia Federici, A Bewitching Revolution puts you in the shoes of a communist witch who lives in a gloomy cyberpunk city that’s driven solely by capitalism. There are a lot of downtrodden minimum wage workers and homeless people who are struggling to survive in the city, but you can use your witchy powers to help transform it and start a revolution.
You can use your witchy powers in a few different ways, such as helping trees grow, mixing potions and transforming advertisement billboards. Perhaps more important than changing the environment is changing the minds of the people within it though – which you do by giving them Tarot readings, each of which depart some of your communist teachings and convert the people to your cause. Convert enough of the masses and they may even start a revolution.
A Bewitching Revolution does have a very idealised take on communism, but it’s a very enjoyable experience seeing how your actions can affect the game world and the people within it as you give the city back to the people. A great little fusion of communism, cyberpunk and witchcraft.
