A Game About Something is a very odd little game full of fourth wall breaking humor and stylish minimalist pixel art visuals, which explores the tropes of game design.
In A Game About Something you control a little red man as he wanders through a glitchy little game world examining objects and talking to NPC’s. Conversations and item descriptions are wittily written, with knowing nods to the games shortcomings and the traditions of game design.
It’s more of an interactive experience than a game, with you wandering around a series of maze-like paths, searching for space (which is what the game is supposed to be about). It’s an enjoyable little adventure though with stylish visuals and a quirky sense of homor. A fun little oddity well worth taking five minutes to wander through.
