A Walk in The Park is a very cleverly crafted first person psychological narrative experience in which you go for a walk and chat with a friend after a tragic event.
In A Walk in The Park you control your character who is struggling to deal with the loss of someone close to them. Your friend, Charles, was going to meet you there and accompany you for the walk, but couldn’t make it, so will call you up on your phone and chat to you (and tell terrible jokes) instead.
You’re pretty quiet as you walk along the trails through the woods and mountainside, but Charles keeps you company, chatting to help you through your troubles. Although occasionally he does talk a little too much, the voice acting is very well done, really drawing you into the story and helping you learn more about the personalities of the characters.
There are a few twists in A Walk in The Park – some that you’ll see coming a mile away and some that you may only notice if you pay very close attention to all the little clues and metaphors hidden throughout the game. There’s a lot more going on beneath the surface of A Walk in The Park than first meets the eye.
