Acephalic is an unsettling and overwhelming first person experience where you explore the eroding mental landscape of a person who is trying to escape from this reality.
A companion piece to Conspiration by Un Regard Froid, Acephalic is an incredibly intense and disorientating audio visual experience set within a decaying mental landscape. It’s split up into three parts (Education, Contamination and Reincarnation) and allows you to explore a variety of surreal digital landscapes with a little interaction (and even a little shooting) as you make your way through it.
It’s hard to know exactly what to think about Acephalic after you’ve played through it, but it’s one hell of an experience. There’s a lot of powerful imagery and the way the world decays and glitches along with the deafening industrial soundscape is something to behold.
