Aestheta is a fun little card-based roguelike tower-battler where you duel rivals and make your way to the top of a tower to be granted a wish.
Created by aplove (creator of Solace Inc. and Terato Tamer) for the 7DRL game jam, in Aestheta you take control of one of three protagonists, each with their own unique deck (Wild West Wranglers, Devious Devils and Queen’s Royal Guard). As you make your way to the top of the tower you take part in battles against different opponents where you use cards to place your heroes and they charge forward into battle for you. Defeat your rival and you can upgrade cards and there are also treasure chests where you can select perks and shops where you can trade cards.
It could probably do with a little balancing, but other than that Aestheta is a great little game with fun gameplay, excellent character art and some very entertaining dialogue. All three protagonists have their own story/wishes too so it’s worth playing through multiple times. Highly recommended.
