After Dreams is a powerful first person narrative experience that explores what happens to us after death, as you make your way through it’s stylish low poly Limbo and discover what happened to your loved ones since you died.
After dying in a car crash, you are transported to an eerie looking low poly Limbo – a barren, open landscape that’s punctuated with small pieces of scenery and tape recordings from your brother who is struggling to deal with your death. As you venture forth on your way to meet your maker, your brother goes through a full gambit of emotions as he attempts to deal with your loss.
After Dreams does have some rough edges, but it conveys a powerful story and takes some interesting twists during its 20 minute playtime. It explores love, loss, grief, blame and despair, and also questions whether any of these emotions really matter in the first place. An interesting and poignant walk through the valley of death.
