Amelite is a fun little 2D puzzle platformer where you can draw your own platforms to help you through each level.
Drawing inspiration from Kirby: Canvas Curse and Celeste, Amelite is a fast paced platformer where you have the ability to draw your own platforms. You control your character with the keyboard and use the mouse to draw platforms for you to use. You can only draw three platforms at a time though and they slowly disappear so you have to be quick when using them.
The platforms are not only handy for standing on, but can also be used to block projectiles and you can place them vertically so that you can wall-jump off them. Things start off fairly easy, but as you progress you need to be very careful with your placement of your platforms and you’ll also need to master the art of multitasking as you platform and draw platforms simultaneously.
The character movement does feel a little bit buggy now and again, but on the whole it’s a great little game. The levels are cleverly designed and the later ones really require you to think carefully about what route you’re going to take. A great little puzzle drawformer well worth checking out.
