Apple Slash is a fast paced and stylish little pixel art hack ‘n slash metroidvania adventure where you slash your way through a marshland plagued by cute little monsters.
In Apple Slash you take control of a hopping little hero knight as they set out to purge the invasion of strange blobby evil creatures from the land (and save a missing boy who went out to gather apples). However, all the enemies you dispatch just re-emerge again after a few seconds have passed, so you need to make your way to the source of the problem and dispatch their leader.
You may have no legs or arms, but you can hop along at a good speed and you can flail your sword around like a master. As you progress you’ll unlock new abilities which make you more formidable in battle and can help you reach new areas of the world.
Taking around 30 minutes to an hour to play through, Apple Slash is a great little bite sized hack ‘n slash adventure with fun gameplay, a well designed game world and excellent pixel art animation. A lighthearted little adventure that’s packed full of personality. Well worth taking a bite out of.
