Astral Ascent is an addictive and stylish little climbing game where you attempt to fling yourself as high up a mechanical tower as possible.
The gameplay in Astral Ascent is very easy to pick up and play, with you simply clicking, dragging and releasing to cling yourself up a procedurally generated tower, then you attempt to latch onto any structures you pass to restart the process and continue your ascent. Your aim is to get as high up the tower as possible, with the game ending if you fail to grab onto a structure and fall to your doom.
The core gameplay in Astral Ascent isn’t particularly groundbreaking, but it is a lot of fun and the tower offers a nice variety of obstacles to tackle as you make your ascent. It’s got a great visual style and the fact that there are often multiple routes up the tower makes for a very freeform climbing experience. A tricky tower well worth climbing.
