Barbotine is a surreal Kafka-esque PS1 styled Silent Hill inspired horror game where you feel an urge to dig a hole after being vomited on by a girl at a party.
In Barbotine you spend seven days in the shoes of a poor soul who starts a metamorphosis process after being puked on at a party. Each day your symptoms get worse, your house gets bigger and you have an uncanny need to dig a hole in your basement. Your shovel will also come in handy for dealing with some mysterious intruders too.
Taking around 10 minutes to play through, it’s a very unsettling little game with a great retro visual style and an interesting premise. The way your body and the house (or your perception of the house) transforms each day is a particularly excellent touch and brings a mixture of dread and intrigue as you discover what;s changed each day. Highly recommended.
