Bite-Sized Scares is a collection of five short(ish) horror games that all have unique themes, stories and gameplay mechanics.
Created and curated by Aaron Wise & D. Zenith (and featuring a game by Adriano Silva), Bite-Sized Scares is a collection of short retro styled horror games, all very different from each other. There are five games in total – Statuam, The Bewdley Incident, A Date To Remember, The Nest and Booi’s Spooky Vacation.
Statuam is a well executed twist on the Weeping Angel formula, with you exploring a creepy maze while being stalked by a demonic statue that only moves when you’re not looking at it. The Bewdley incident is a paranoia-fuelled small town horror game where you try to figure out which of your neighbors are Skinwalkers and shoot them.
A Date to Remember is a creepy third person survival horror game where going to dinner at your date’s grandmother’s house takes a dark twist. The Nest sees you attempting to escape from a mine that’s home to some very large bugs. And finally, Booi’s Spooky Vacation is a 2D adventure where a ghost goes on vacation and stumbles across a ghost ship.
It all makes for a very well curated package with a nice mixture of games that are packed full of fun ideas and creepy moments. Bite-Sized Scares well worth taking a bite out of. Highly recommended.
