Black Tree Project is a short and surreal horror game set within computer programs and secret facilities, which sees you trying to figure out the answer to one simple question – who are you?
You start Black Tree Project controlling the movement of a weird looking silhouette of a tree (with a few disconcertingly human looking limbs attached to it) as it travels through a 2D game world accompanied by a laughter track and a voiceover that appears to be talking about someone who appears to suffer from mental illness. If you think that’s weird then just wait until you see what happens next!
Taking around 10 minutes to play through, Black Tree Project is a very dark and unsettling little adventure that takes some very unexpected twists and leaves a lot up to the player to interpret as you explore computer programs, secret facilities and broken lives. A dark and disturbing voyage of self-discovery well worth delving into.
