Blood Void Mass is a surreal and oddly addictive little game where you wander around a dark void and harvest blood to nourish and grow a giant blood spike.
In Blood Void Mass you find yourself in a vast black void with a strange swirling mass above you that you can shoot and cause to rain blood. This blood forms little spikes on the ground which you can shoes to harvest for blood or give blood. Giving them blood makes them grow, but you’ll need to keep harvesting blood and giving it to your growing spikes to keep them alive. If they go for too long without blood then they’ll shrivel up and die.
It’s all very weird and there doesn’t appear to be an endgame – you simply try to grow your tree as high as possible until it eventually dies, but it’s a great little game with tons of atmosphere. The visuals are fantastic and it can get pretty anxiety-inducing as you venture out farther and farther to harvest blood for your tree, hoping you get back in time to prevent it from dying. A beautiful and bloody void gardening experience well worth checking out.
