Bloodworks is a simple but very addictive Crimsonland-esque roguelike top down twin stick shooter that sees you fighting for survival in a wasteland full of hordes of deadly monsters.
The goal of Bloodworks is simply to survive for as long as possible in a monster infested land. You earn XP for every monster you kill, allowing you to level up and choose between three (or more) randomly selected stackable perks. As well as perks, there’s also a wide selection of useful loot to pick up on the battlefield, including 20 normal weapons, 5 ultimate weapons and 15 power-ups – all of which can aid your fight against the monsters significantly.
You have infinite bullets with any weapon you are using so running out of ammo isn’t an issue. It’s best to find a weapon you feel comfortable with then try to upgrade your perks to suit it – such as upgrading its reload speed if it has a slow reload speed. It’s a very tough game and staying alive for more than a few minutes at a time can be a real challenge, but it’s very addictive and has that all important ‘just one more go’ factor. A relentless top down battle for survival well worth checking out.
