Botos do Diabo (aka Devil’s Porpoises) is a shirt and surreal fever dream point and click horror game where a man is harassed by a killer dolphin as he sails down a river.
In Botos do Diabo you follow the story of Aughostus as he floats down the Amazon after terrible storms destroyed everything. As he floats down the river he attempts to reach land, but is continually harassed by a rather aggressive dolphin. As the journey continues things start to get weirder and the dolphin gets more aggressive, making for a very treacherous journey.
Taking around 15 minutes to play through, it’s a short and well crafted little horror adventure. The ending does feel a little abrupt (possibly because it was created within the time constraints of a game jam, but other than that it’s a great game. The pixel artwork is excellent, the story is interesting and the dolphin is surprisingly terrifying. Highly recommended.
