Cats Are Assholes is a fun little cat shelter simulation game that sees you helping an old lady take care of an increasing amount of stray cats, keeping them happy and well fed so that they don’t eat her!
In Cats Are Assholes you play an old granny who runs a cat shelter. You start off with two cats, but every 30 seconds another cat is delivered to your door, giving you another mouth to feed and and more crap to clean up (literally). You do have an assistant in the form of your grandson who you can set tasks by pressing the ‘C’ button – but he doesn’t show much initiative, he won’t do anything unless you tell him to.
How many cats you manage to stuff into your house before you reach breaking point will depend on how well organised you are and how well you utilize your grandson. The happier the cats are the more cash you’ll earn to purchase supplies and upgrades. The upgrades are handy, but the food supplies are especially important as the cat’s won’t think twice about eating you if they run out of food (ungrateful little sh*ts!)
It’s a fun and addictive little game, with charming pixel art visuals, a catchy soundtrack and chaotic cat shelter management gameplay that proves you really can have too much of a good thing. How many cats can you stuff into that little house?
