Ceramic Soul is a third person psychological horror adventure about a porcelain doll who has been created by a monstrous mother as a replacement for her estranged daughter.
Created by a group of students from the DigiPen Institute of Technology, Ceramic Soul is a third person horror adventure that puts you in the shoes of a living porcelain doll called Yu. You were created as a substitute for a daughter who ran away from home. As you explore the house you’ll solve puzzles, learn more about the mother and daughter’s story and hopefully make your own escape.
There are three keys that you need to collect to escape the house and collecting them requires a mixture of puzzle solving and stealth. The mother roams the house so you need to stay clear of her, and you also have the ability to remove your hand and send it scurrying through narrow air vents.
Tahing around 30 minutes to play through, it’s a great little horror adventure with high quality visual design, creative puzzles and a surprisingly touching story. Being able to detach your hand and send it on errands is a fun concept and the environmental design is excellent. Highly recommended.
