Choke is a short and unsettling first person psychological horror game that sees you trapped in a P.T.-esque network of rooms which taunt you as you try to find a way out.
Taking around five minutes to play through, Choke is a tense, jump-scare free horror game with puzzle elements and an environment that taunts you as you explore it. In the game you find yourself trapped in a looping corridor with a couple of rooms to enter. There is a puzzle to solve to help you escape, but it’s not too tricky, what’s more impressive is the tense and unsettling atmosphere that exudes from the environment and the writing that appears when your back is turned.
It’d be nice to see Choke expanded upon in the future as it’s a great take on the P.T. style looping corridor horror. It does a great job of building an oppressive and unnerving atmosphere and the way the writing on the walls screws with you is a great touch. Well worth checking out for five minutes of well executed psychological horror.
