Cube Escape: Paradox is a fantastic room escape puzzle adventure that sees you attempting to unravel a murder mystery after finding yourself trapped in a spooky room filled with cleverly crafted puzzles.
Developed by the talented people at Rusty Lake, Cube Escape: Paradox plays like a higher budget and expanded version of their excellent browser based games (which we also recommend checking out). It sees you taking on the role of detective Dale Vandermeer, who wakes up in a strange room with no memory of how he got there. There seems to be an unsolved murder at the heart of it all, but you’ll have to solve the game’s cleverly designed puzzles to figure it out and escape.
The first chapter of detective Cube Escape: Paradox is totally free and takes 1 to 2 hours to play though, with you also able to purchase the second chapter on Steam now for a very small sum. It also comes with an accompanying live action movie short that you can watch on YouTube – we’d recommend watching it after playing through chapter 1 though as it pretty much covers the entire plot of chapter 1.
Cube Escape: Paradox is no ordinary room escape adventure. It’s got incredibly high production values and it continually throws up clever new surprises as you unravel its secrets. The artwork is superb and the puzzle design is packed full of variety and inventive gameplay. It constantly amazes how much gameplay and how many different unique puzzles the devs have packed into that single room. Highly recommended.
