Dead Space Demake is a fantastic little fan made demake that reimagines Isaac’s classic survival horror adventure in a PS1 style.
You’ve played the remake, now it’s time to play the Dead Space Demake – a PS1 styled take on the 2008 Sci-Fi survival horror adventure. Taking around 20 minutes to play through, it’s fairly short, but the game plays very much like the original.
It contains the early section of Dead Space where you’re attempting to get the tram system running, while also dealing with deadly necromorph attacks. You have one weapon – your trusty plasma cutter, which you can use in the vertical or horizontal fire mode to slice off limbs from the necromorphs. And you can also use your stasis ability to slow down the speed of objects.
Obviously there are a few minor things missing (such as the foot stomp) and it is fairly short, but it’s an excellent little game that’s a perfect PS1 styled homage to the original. It really nails the atmosphere and lopping limbs of necromorphs is just as enjoyable as ever. Highly recommended
