Deck Quest is an addictive card based dungeon crawling roguelike adventure in which you battle monsters, level up your characters and collect cool loot as you travel across pixel art fantasy land.
In Deck Quest you explore a charming pixel art world and decide your path from a choice of three randomly selected cards. These cards are drawn from a deck which depletes as you use them up, but you can purchase more and add them to the deck by clicking on the crystal ball in the bottom right corner of the screen.
The cards can contain enemies, mini-bosses and bosses to do battle with as well as fires where you can heal up, taverns where you can recruit new members or treasure chests and shops where you can earn new loot. The trick is to level up your characters enough by battling weaker enemies before taking on the boss. Once you defeat the boss you’ll move on to the next area with more challenging enemies.
It takes a couple of tries to wrap your head around, but Deck Quest is a very addictive little game that has a very satisfying loop of battling monsters, levelling up and collecting new loot. A charming card based dungeon crawler well worth checking out.
