Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure is (as the title suggests) a mini standalone point and click adventure that takes place in the delightfully odd town of Ron Gilbert’s Thimbleweed Park.
In Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure you follow the adventure of Delores, a young woman who has just started a job as a photographer for the Nickel News. You’ll explore the town, chat to the locals, take photos, solve puzzles and delve into some Thimbleweed oddity. It runs on Terrible Toybox’s new game engine (which works very well) but utilizes a lot of “found art” from the original Thimbleweed Park game and doesn’t have any voice acting (which is understandable as the whole thing has been created during the pandemic lockdown).
It’s an excellent little old school point and click adventure with inventive puzzle design, excellent pixel artwork and a great sense of humor (with lots of hilarious little gags). In these trying times it’s nice to return to Thimbleweed Park and catch up with some familiar faces. Highly recommended.
