Delusion is a very weird first person horror adventure where things escalate quickly while investigating a brutal murder.
In Delusion you arrive at a residence to investigate the murder of a mother in a basement. It appears she was crushed by a steel door as it was flung off its hinges and then she was slashed to death by some razor sharp claws. Sounds weird? You haven’t seen anything yet!
Delusion starts as a murder investigation and morphs into something very different as you play. Stepping through a door can take you to an entirely new location, with no explanation why or how. To top things off there’s also a massive muscle-bound monster that’s lurking about. Perhaps it’s all a delusion, but it’s a very realistic looking one and a very weird one.
Taking around 20 minutes to play through, Delusion is a very confusing experience that gets more and more baffling as you play. There are some rough edges and the monster looks more like a Hell Knight from DOOM than anything properly scary, but it does have potential. The murder investigation element is well done and the way the map transforms into different locations is a clever touch. A delirious dark delusion well worth delving into.
