Detective Horis: Episode 1 is a bat shit crazy adventure in which you play a wisecracking horse detective who sets out to solve a series of murders.
Detective Horis is a talking anthropomorphic horse who makes Bojack Horseman look like a My Little Pony. He wears gold shoes, gold shades and smokes a golden pipe as he sets out on a wonderfully weird adventure that literally jumps the shark within the first few minutes and doesn’t look back.
Gameplay in Detective Horis is broken up into driving and third person exploration sections, but both are really just an excuse to crack jokes and hurl some ridiculously random events at the player. The humor is excellent throughout, with lots of surreal sights, memes and fourth wall breaking humor. By the end you’ll be struggling to figure out what the actual plot of the game was supposed to be, but that really doesn’t matter – it’s one hell of a ride! Highly recommended horsey hilarity.
