Doghouse 1 and 2 are two short, silly and creepy little retro styled horror games where you attempt to build a doghouse for your mutant eldritch dog before it eats you!
The original Doghouse game was created for a game jam and saw you building a doghouse (with a very strong lock) for your weird looking eldritch dog. The sequel has the same premise, but is expanded in significantly, taking a little longer to play through and offering five different endings in comparison to the originals’ three. Both games are a lot of fun though and there’s something to be said about the charm of the weird computerised VA in the first one.
Both Doghouse games can be played through in under three minutes, but the real joy is figuring out how to find the various endings. The games take some pretty unexpected turns depending on your actions, and in both games the dog gets increasingly horrifying as the game goes on. Highly recommended.
