Don’t Watch The Moon is a narrative-driven pixel art horror adventure where a boy wakes up in a strange forest filled with sleeping animals and a talking moose.
In Don’t Watch The Moon you follow the story of a young boy called Eli who awakens in a moonlit forest with no recollection of how he got there. He soon finds that the forest is filled with sleeping animals and evil spirits that attempt to kill him. Thankfully though you come across a mysterious talking moose who says he’ll help you find your way out of the forest…
With a playthrough time of around 40 minutes (and with two endings), Don’t Watch The Moon is a little overly wordy at times, but aside from that it’s an excellent game. The pixel artwork is beautiful, figuring out how to deal with each spirit is fun and although you can see the twist coming a mile off, it still has a very satisfying ending. A macabre moonlit adventure with a touch of ethereal magic.
