DOOM: The Gallery Experience is a very silly little reimagining of the first level in DOOM, that sees Doomguy sipping wine and admiring art at a gallery.
Created to parody the pretentious nature of gallery openings, DOOM: The Gallery Experience hands Doomguy a glass of wine and lets him loose in an art museum. There are no enemies to kill. Instead you make your way around the museum sipping wine, eating cheese, collecting cash, and admiring the artwork. There are a few secret areas to find and there’s also a gift shop at the end to splurge your cash on.
It’s all very silly and a far cry from blasting Cacodemons with shotguns, but it’s nice to see Doomguy taking a little time to soak in some culture for a change. Highly recommended.
