DUX & NOX is a very inventive puzzle game where you have to think in reverse as you control a little white bunny that creates a path for a little black bunny to follow through each level.
Created for Brackeys Jam 2020.2, in DUX & NOX your goal is to guide the white bunny to the black bunny’s starting point and the black bunny to the white bunny’s starting point. The white bunny is essentially a ghost, able to pass through obstacles and unable to interact with objects that it touches. The black bunny is solid and can interact with objects, but you don’t have direct control of it – it just retraces the path that the white bunny took to reach it. This means that you really have to think about your movements with the white bunny as not all of the movements will work as well in reverse (and with a physical bunny).
It’s a very clever concept that essentially makes you try to think backwards as you hop through each well crafted little level. The visual style is very charming and the puzzles get pretty challenging once moveable blocks and switches are introduced. Highly recommended.
