Eole is a beautiful and chilled out contemplative flight simulator where you swoop around a cluster of floating islands full of ancient ruins and monuments.
In Eole you control a light aircraft as it flies around a collection of floating islands which used to be a place of great power, but now lie in ruins. There is an objective of sorts, with lots of lights to find and change their color by flying next to them, but there are a LOT of them so it’s best not to get too caught up in finding them all – it’s far better to just fly around and enjoy the scenery. There’s lots to discover, with massive statues, huge mountains, monuments, beautiful waterfalls and even the remains of a long dead giant.
The control system is a little cumbersome (if you don’t have a flight stick controller), but once you get to grips with it then it’s a joy swooping around the mysterious floating islands of Eole. It’s a wonderful place to explore, full of epic vistas and the remnants of a once great civilization. It would have been an even more remarkable place in its heyday, but perhaps it’s safer for your little airplane that it’s no longer inhabited!
