ERROR is a creepy Portal mod that sees you playing through a corrupted version of the game, filled with eerie glitches and clever twists on the original’s levels.
Described by the developer as a “corrupted version of Portal that I’ve somehow managed to get”, ERROR is about as close as you’ll get to turning Portal into a horror game. It’s not perhaps a full-on horror game, but it is very creepy and its corrupted version of the original game has lots of unsettling glitchy moments and much darker environments.
It takes around an hour to play through ERROR and it really impresses with its tense atmosphere, freaky glitch moments and eerie environmental design. Perhaps most impressive is the level design though – it’s packed full of inventive puzzles that provide a nice mixture of new puzzles and fun twists on classics. Highly recommended.
Note: ERROR is a Portal Mod. To install place the “error” folder in your “Steam\steamapps\sourcemods” directory. Then, launch Steam (or exit and
