FAITH 64 is a fantastic fan-made remake of Airdorf’s original FAITH game, which transforms the retro MSDOS styled graphics into cutting edge Nintendo 64 styled graphics.
If you’ve never played the original FAITH game then you should really go and play it now (it’s excellent), but if you have, then how about experiencing it in 3D with tank controls? FAITH 64 reimagines the entire first chapter of FAITH in an N64 style, complete with all the notes, death scenes, boss batltes and endings. It even has the Michael pause screen secret.
It’s an incredibly faithful adaptation that manages to both capture the MSDOS feel of the original and the chunky polygon visual style of the N64. Obviously there’s no beating the original’s rotoscoped pixel art animations, but FAITH 64 does a remarkably good job of emulating them. A particular highlight is when you first step into the iconic FAITH house and get to see it reimagined in chunky 3D. It feels like returning home (albeit with a fresh lick of demonic N64 paint!)
