FeedVid Live is a freaky YouTube/Twitch inspired horror game where you tune into a mysterious livestream where the person behind the camera is in big trouble.
A sequel to the excellent FeedVid, in FeedVid Live you are scrolling through your YouTube style video app when you’re sent a mysterious link out of the blue. It links to a strange green-hued night vision video feed that’s being shot in first person and appears to belong to a person who is trapped inside a building. You need to type directions into the chat (much like in a text adventure) to help guide the streamer as they look for clues, collect useful objects, solve puzzles and hopefully escape.
Taking around 20 minutes to play through, FeedVid Live has a very tense atmosphere and a fantastic concept. Its fusion of pseudo-livestreaming and classic text adventure mechanics works incredibly well. It cleverly focuses on keywords for items that you use in sentences, so you don’t need to stick to traditional commands like “look at”, “use” and “pick-up”, making for much more realistic chat mechanics. It gets pretty freaky towards the end too! Highly recommended.
