Fragment features an interesting blend of 2D action platforming and survival horror elements as you go on a short and intense adventure in search of the Fountain of Life.
In Fragment you step into the shoes of Rose Ilya, a badass heroine who ventures into an abandoned crystal mining facility in search of the Fountain of Life. The toxic air in the facility has turned all the workers in the facility into blood-thirsty crystaline monsters so you’ll need to keep your wits around you as you embark on your adventure. You have a gun, but ammo is very limited so you really want to make every bullet count.
The zoomed in game camera and the odd context-sensetive approach to jumping takes a little getting used to, but it makes for a very unique and cinematic feeling experience. The voice work and sound design add a lot of atmosphere and there are some real heart-pounding moments as you make your way into (and out of) the facility. An excellent bite-sized slice of 2D survival horror.
