Fresnel is a super surreal experimental first person experience with puzzle elements, that sees you exploring a diverse array of abstract environments that visualise the feeling of being confused.
Don’t worry if you get confused while playing Fresnel – that’s the whole point of the game! In it you explore and interact with a series of surreal visions – some of which you just walk through, some of which require interaction, experimentation and light puzzle solving. There are two paths to choose from that are themed around Heaven and Hell, with some incredible sights to behold as you explore the different visions, from vast Escheresque stairways to a first person visual novel.
It’s a very confusing, but remarkable experience full of bizarre wonders to discover and experiment with. The audio and visual design is great throughout, with each vision being complimented by an excellent soundtrack, helping to push you through a whole range of emotions as you play. A remarkable experience well worth delving into.
