Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle is a comically brutal and blood splattered puzzle game that sees you sliding Jason around levels in such a way that you can slay all his victims without dying or getting trapped.
Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle is created by the devs behind Slayaway Camp (which was itself a Friday The 13th parody) and uses a similar puzzle format. You drag Jason in a direction and he will continue in that direction until he hits an obstruction or a victim to slay. You need to guide Jason through the levels in such a way that he kills all the victims without getting stuck or coming into contact with deadly hazards. The victims are dispatched in a comically brutal fashion (with a PG option if you’re squeamish) and the final victim is taken out via a shot reflex testing QTE.
The puzzles are very simple initially, but as you progress things can get a lot tougher (try the ‘Daily Death’ puzzle for an example of how hard they get). As you make your way through the levels you’ll earn more bloodlust which unlocks new weapons for you to dispatch victims with and you’ll also unlock new levels and costumes for Jason.
It’s an addictive puzzler that is even entertaining in its easy earlier stages thanks to the comically brutal death scenes and it’s tongue n cheek sense of humor. A great little game that’ll tempt you with its cartoony gore and slay you with its puzzles.
