Fuz – Browser Game

Fuz is a fantastic little PICO-8 powered retro demake of Fez, complete with a rotatable 2.5D world, cube fragments to collect and a secret code to decipher.

Taking around 15 minutes to play through, Fuz is a Fez demake created within the 8-bit confines of the PICO-8 virtual console. There’s a small network of different levels to navigate your way through, each of which you can rotate left or right at the touch of a button. To complete it you need to collect eight cube fragments that are scattered through the levels, most of which are fairly easy to reach, but one of which requires a little lateral thinking.

It’s a great little bite-sized homage to a classic that really impresses with its pixel art animation, authentic Fez style world rotating mechanics and inventive puzzle design. Fifteen minutes of fine fuzzy Fez goodness well worth checking out.
