GO HOME – Download Game

GO HOME is an incredibly bizarre little Japanese horror game where a seven year old girl attempts to make her way home while being chased by a freaky screaming spirit.

Supposedly created by a virtual Ichimatsu Kotobuki doll, in GO HOME you control a young girl with a pixelated face as she makes her way home through a city where death comes in many forms – including being run over, squashed by a falling body or chased by evil spirits. If that previous sentence seems a little weird to you then that’s because this is a VERY weird game!

GO HOME is split up into three distinct areas – a prayer garden, the streets of a city and your home. The main section of the game takes place on the streets and sees you being pursued by a strange screaming ghost lady. She’s faster than you but “because the hero is a seven-year-old elementary school student, it will warp when stepping on the manhole”, so you can use manholes to teleport around the streets. Finding your home is actually quite easy, actually getting in there without dying can be a whole lot trickier!

Taking around 15 minutes to play through, it’s an extremely bizarre game with some infuriating moments and a story that makes very little sense. There’s something to be said for GO HOME’s dedication to all-out weirdness though and it’s full of surreal surprises. Highly recommended.
