Gunship is a charming little Gameboy styled arcade shoot ‘em up where you blast enemies and bosses across three fun vertically scrolling levels.
Playing a little like the 194X games, Gunship is a fun little vertically scrolling shoot ‘em up created for the GB30 Jam. In it you control an upgradeable fighter plane that flies through three levels shooting the enemy out of the skies and battling big bosses. At the end of each level (or if you die) then you are given a little cash which you can then use to upgrade your plane with better guns, auto-repair and missiles.
In only takes around 10 minutes to play through and it’s not especially challenging, but it’s a fun little shoot ‘em up with a great Gameboy inspired visual style and old school arcade gameplay. Well worth checking out for a quick hit of retro shoot ‘em up fun.
