Hive Preserver is a very fast paced and delightfully brutal little first person action game where you control a little alien that scurries about and rips the heads off the humans that are attacking its hive.
Created for Ludum Dare 46, in Hive Preserver you control a little alien that moves a lot like a facehugger from the Alien movies. The difference here being that you don’t hug faces, instead you prefer to rip off heads. Nasty humans are threatening your hive and you must protect it. They have guns but you’re fast and you can regenerate health by eating heads – time to go on a decapitation rampage!
Due to the time constraints of the jam, Hive Preserver is very short and can be completed in under five minutes, but it is a LOT of fun. The gameplay is very fast paced, the visual design is excellent and decapitating the humans is very satisfying. A perfect little bite-sized dose of first person head-munching action.
