Hostage is a creepy little live action FMV point and click horror game where you find yourself tied up and held hostage within a dingy bathroom with an unknown masked assailant.
More of an interactive experience than a game, Hostage sees you waking up in a bath tied up and with a bag over your head. You then have to click on specific hotspots in the room to perform actions and free yourself from your predicament. There are no branching pathways and very little gameplay – you just search the screen for the hotspot you need to click then move on to the next part of the scene.
It’s be nice if it was expanded on with a bit more interactivity and some meanignful choices but it’s a fun little concept with a very tense atmosphere and an intriguing narrative. An extremely linear but very creepy little live action experience.
