I Wish I Was is a clever little pixel art puzzle adventure where you explore a mysterious void and discover new words that you can use to solve its text-based puzzles.
In I Wish I Was you control a spirit that appears to have forgotten much about themselves and their past. You explore a strange void that is filled with objects that help unlock memories and new words for your text-based vocabulary. You first need to figure out what specific word to use to unlock these memories and figure out a final three word phrase that will allow you to move on from this place.
A few of the puzzles are a little obtuse, but on the whole it’s a great little adventure. The text-based puzzle mechanics work well, the pixel artwork is beautiful and the memories you unlock along the way do a good job of fleshing out your character.
