Insomnis is a creepy first person horror game that features high quality visual design, a tense atmosphere and challenging puzzles as you explore an abandoned orphanage with a dark past.
In Insomnis you find yourself trapped in an old, abandoned orphanage with a dark history and some very questionable decor. As you explore you’ll learn more about the orphanage’s past and you’ll have to search for objects and solve cleverly constructed puzzles to progress.
There’s no combat or Amnesia-style stealth/hiding mechanics in Insomnis and it doesn’t rely on cheap jump scares. Instead it creates an atmospheric and cerebral horror adventure experience that fills you with dread, but always leaves you intrigued as to what is behind the next locked door. One of the puzzles is very confusing, but the rest are very well done and the audio/visual design throughout is superb. A freaky photorealistic horror adventure well worth checking out.

Note: There is a painting-based puzzle that doesn’t seem to make any sense and is only really solvable via brute force trial and error. You can find the solution here though.
