Inward Umbra is a beautiful and incredibly surreal little adventure where you journey through bizarre dreamlike environments as you attempt to infiltrate a cult.
In Inward Umbra you’re given instructions to infiltrate a cult and steal some confidential documents from them. This may sound like a fairly standard mission, but in reality it’s anything but. As soon as you step foot into the cult’s towering headquarters things start to get weird… very weird indeed.
You never know what to expect when you open a door in Inward Umbra – it could lead to a simple hallway or it could lead to a vast impossible dreamscape filled with surreal sights and strange structures. Masks are a theme throughout and there’s even a sinister three faced mask that you chat to occasionally.
Taking around 15 minutes to play through, it’s a very weird little adventure. It has a few rough edges but on the whole the visuals are mesmerising and it constantly throws up interesting new surprises. Leave your sanity at the door and enjoy this beautiful and bizarre cultist trip.
