Judged For Crime is a fun little puzzle adventure where you have just fifty minutes to solve a murder and prove your parents are innocent of blame.
In Judged For Crime you take control of Miranda, a young girl who wakes up one day to find that her parents have been accused of murdering of a Princess (who is also a guardian spirit). You may be able to prove they didn’t do it and figure out the real culprit by solving puzzles and gathering evidence around town, but time is of the essence – you only have fifty minutes (in real-time) to get to the bottom of what’s really going on.
Judged For Crime has a top down RPG maker aesthetic, but the gameplay is much more akin to a traditional point and click adventure. You explore, talk to characters, collect useful items, solve puzzles and discover secrets, then present your findings to the officer in charge of the investigation.
It’s a fast paced game that you can play through in around half an hour and it has a nice amount of replayability, with multiple endings and the guilty person randomized each time you play. A great little murder mystery adventure with fun puzzles, an interesting narrative and an intriguing fantasy game world that it’d be nice to learn more about.
