Lasagna Boy Classic (previously just called “Lasagne Boy”) is a fun Game Boy styled stealth horror puzzle adventure where a lasagne delivery boy attempts to escape from a house full of grotesque monsters.
In Lasagna Boy Classic you follow the adventures of a lasagne delivery boy who makes a delivery to a very freaky house. The house is full of monsters (including a mutated version of Garfield dubbed “Gorefield) that lurk in the background and instantly kill you in horrific ways if they see you. You need to use the environment to sneak past the monsters and find the relevant equipment to kill them, then hopefully escape the house alive.
There is quite a lot of backtracking and the final boss battle is absolutely infuriating, but other than that it’s a great little slice of retro styled stealth horror. The story has some fun twists, the stealth gameplay works well and all of the grotesque monsters are beautifully animated (particularly when they bite your head off). If you enjoy it, there’s also a spiritual successor in the works (called Lasagna Boy) which is certainly worth checking out as it upgrades the visuals and shakes up the gameplay significantly.
