Liberti is a bizarre, beautiful and mesmerizing first person experience where you never know what to expect next, thanks largely to the unique way it was developed.
Describing Liberti is a little tricky as none of it makes any sense and each new segment of it can be totally different from the last. This is largely due to the way the game was developed, with the devs using an “automatic” thought process where each new part of the game was created “on the spot”, and wasn’t required to fit to any structural or chronological coherence.
The result of this is an intense and trippy audio-visual experience where one minute you’re face to face with a fire-breathing dragon and the next you’re peering out over a cityscape from Battlestar Galactica. It’s a remarkable experience that’s full of beautiful sights and weird surprises. It makes for one hell of a trip..
