Look Who’s The Shining Two! is a clever little PICO-8 powered puzzle game and parody sequel to The Shining, which sees an adult Danny Torrance returning to The Overlook Hotel.
Created by Jim Stormdancer (Creator of Frog Fractions), Look Who’s The Shining Two! is a fun little puzzle adventure starring Danny Torrence. He’s just got a job at the Overlook Hotel and it’s his first day, but to get there he’ll need to navigate the haunted hedge maze – which has changed a lot since the last time he was in there.
The core puzzle gameplay in Look Who’s The Shining Two! is sokoban-esque with you figuring out the best places to push objects to progress. However, along the way you collect various objects that shake up the gameplay in creative ways, and you’ll also meet various oddball characters that are generally unhelpful but very entertaining.
It’s an excellent little puzzle game that’s packed full of inventive puzzles, great humor and fun little homages to The Shining. You should definitely play it, because you know what they say about “all work and no play!”
