Mantle is a short narrative-driven experience where you venture into an elevator/mining vehicle that’s returning from the center of the Earth.
In Mantle you explore a now desolate mining vehicle that’s returning to the surface on autopilot. The vehicle has been deep into the center of the Earth, but things have gone wrong, the crew is gone/dead and all that’s left of them are the messages they left.
There’s one minor puzzle in Mantle, but on the whole it’s very much a narrative-driven experience which sees you exploring and reading the messages left by the crew. They’re beautifully written and do a wonderful job of telling the story of the vehicle and the crew’s final moments within it. Like the hole you’re climbing out of, it’s pretty deep.
